Enerskileir, It was a lot of energy

  NMSU and LAGET use to arrange a youth camp call energy ski camp, enerskileir. Many young Christians around Bergen attends it and this year some confirmation candidates of Osterøy went also there. It was a great time with worship, teachings, ski, games and many others activities. "det var veldig goy" for most for all of them. Lead by young volunteers of NMSU and LAGET, the spirit in this camps was very special, for the participants as for the leaders. It was a lot of energy in both sides, go to ski in the morning and listen to teachings in the evenings. Interesting to show to others, who are not christian, that Christianity is not just about rules but together we can have a very good time, funny and instructive than anywhere else. It was also very interesting to talk to some young about the church's youth activities that they attend, to prepare my next report and to also try to find some issues to establish the youth work(choir and youth club) which start here in Osterøy six months ago.  Nice time for all of us who attend and more energy for the next camp this weekend in Ælvera.

              Confirmation classes in Osteøy,
 This month has been special with confirmation classes in Osterøy.  We take part to four confirmation classes in which it have been ask to us to tell something about our church in Cameroon and also we talk about the time that we give to learn something about Jesus, to build our faith. I use the image of Justin B.,  Messi L. to make comparisons about the energy that we use to know everything about them but not for our Savior. we should give  to our self the chance  to know him as we do for others even more that what we do and to consider the really aspect of the confirmation not only to see it as a tradition is a good start.

          In Osterøy, I am learning

        “Go Learn and Become, are more than tree word” was the last sentence from the Hald head master speech in the goodbye party in Mandal, in September. Certainly, I went, and I am still here. Time to learn, share and become a new person, have a new culture view and new goals for the future. In this island, especially in the church with youth and some adults, I am learning. Choirs, bible study group, Krik, language, culture, Christianity a lot of subject that change every day that you get in touch with people. It is a little hard with the cold and the darkness, but that are not reason to stay only at home.  

 Talking more with them, discussing about culture differences, it always niece when you meet people. At the beginning, it was little hard but now we are just at home with  very niece families who always open their houses for us, I do not have to call at list to visit them.

   The Christmas Advent is very special with many concert and sermons for schools. It was very special to see how the children were happy today during the sermon for the kinder garden. We realize how important and symbolic the Christmas is in Norway. The Jesus birth history made by the priest with the participation of the children with many of nieces’ songs, it was different from the “normal” that they used to have, and it was excellent.  Looking forward for the next sermons.

after six weeks of teachings about culture, ledearships, mission, poverty,.... we have to go to our intership place. 
after class the students organise a lot of activities to make more friendship and to relax: football challenge, cards games, volleyball and many others activities. one of the lovely activity is the present prayer in which we sing, pray share the gospel.....
